MYTHS & HEROES: Debating illegal immigration.

The myth of the American Dream is powerful: it still attracts many immigrants today; and yet, as TC Boyle points out in his novel The Tortilla Curtain, it does not apply to every one.

During a civic meeting, a panel of local citizens (the class) has been put together to discuss changes in immigration laws.

Pros? COns? This thorny subject has raised controversy both in the USA, even more lately with the coming presidential elections, and in Europe with the refugees.
